FAQs
-
Does Model Made do open calls?
Yes, we host bi-weekly open calls in Vancouver and we’re always down to meet fresh faces. No fees, no pressure - just show up and be respectful.
-
What do I wear to an open call?
Keep it clean, simple, and natural. Fitted black outfit? Perfect. No makeup, no over styling - just your raw self. Hair natural. Bring heels if you’re comfy, or rock black or white kicks. Under 19? Bring a parent or guardian.
-
What if I do not have experience?
No sweat! Model Made Management provides training, development and management. We work with new models from the ground up for local work and international placement.
-
What does a Boutique Agency mean?
It means we keep our roster sharp, focused, and personal. You’re not a number - you’re a name, a brand, and a future. We stay hands-on so you get guidance that’s real, not recycled.
-
Do I need a portfolio to submit?
No. All we need are digitals to start - natural, clear shots of you being you. Hit that ‘Get Scouted’ button and take it from there. If there’s a fit, we’ll style and shape your portfolio together.
-
Is the modelling industry competitive?
Extremely. It’s global. It’s fast. It’s ever-changing. But we’ve got the tools and insight to help you adapt, evolve, and thrive - if you're ready to work hard and stand out.
-
Is there a criteria Model Made is looking for?
We’re scouting people, not clones. All shapes, sizes, ethnicities, identities, and orientations are welcome. That said - diversity doesn’t cancel out competition. Be ready to bring the energy and the edge.
-
What are digitals?
Your no-filter first impression. Just clean photos (taken on your phone or camera) showing your face, body, and vibe in natural light. Hair down, makeup-free, and real. Keep it raw, keep it you.
-
Does Model Made guarantee work?
We wish! But no one can. We pitch you to casting directors - we don’t get the final say. We open the doors, but you’ve got to walk through and inspire the room.
-
Do I have to pay if I get signed?
Model Made advances the development cost for new models. This includes training and portfolio testing. However, we do our best to connect a fresh face with photographers for creative shoots. We earn our money back when our models work paid assignments. International placements can be different, but we’ll keep it 100% transparent.
-
How flexible do I need to be as a Model?
Pretty flexible. Be ready to move fast, cancel things, and work weekdays/weekends. The more available you are, the more confident we are to push you.
-
Will I get signed if I do the workshop?
No promises. Our ModelMadeMe workshops are open to everyone who wants to learn the game. But if our booking team spots something special in you - you’ll hear from us. Loud and clear.
