FAQs

  • Does Model Made do open calls?

Yes, Model Made Management hosts bi-weekly open calls in Vancouver. Email us at info@modelmademgmt.com for our next open call. There is no fee. We are excited to meet you!

  • What do I wear to an open call?

Dress comfortably and fitted. Absolutely no makeup and have your hair natural. An all black outfit is preferred. For those comfortable in heels, please bring them. Black or white sneakers are fine also. If you are under 19 years old, you must bring a parent or legal guardian with you.

  • What if I do not have experience?

No sweat! Model Made Management provides training, development and management. We work with new models from the ground up for local work and international placement.

  • What does a Boutique Agency mean?

It simply means we keep our roster tight to maintain a closer influence on our model’s development. At Model Made Management, we do our best to procure a realistic and sustainable route for our models.

  • Do I need a portfolio to submit?

No, just send us some digitals as a start. Refer to our ‘Get Scouted’ button above. If we decide to represent you, we will discuss further about the styling and development of your portfolio.

  • Is the modelling industry competitive?

Extremely competitive. Although Model Made Management can assist in navigating the industry, Models work in a highly saturated global market and must adapt to industry change season by season.

  • Is there a criteria Model Made is looking for?

We are looking for people quite frankly; searching for all shapes, ethnic backgrounds, identities and orientations. Keep in mind however, with body and ethnic diversity progressing in a positive direction, it continues to be very competitive overall.

  • What are digitals?

Simple and natural photos taken by a phone or camera showcasing the model so us and clients can see your face and body in your most natural state. When shooting digitals, you must have your hair natural and no makeup.

  • Does Model Made guarantee work?

No, we submit to casting directors and they get the final say. Model Made Management focusses on fostering our client relationships to give our models the enhancement, but again, the model(s) must be suited to the particular vision.

  • Do I have to pay if I get signed.

Model Made Management advances the development cost for new models. This includes training and portfolio testing. However, we do our best to connect a fresh face with photographers for creative shoots. We earn our money back when our models work paid assignments. Please note, this can be different when it comes to international placement.

  • How flexible do I need to be as a Model?

The more flexible you are the more confident your agency will be in promoting you. Modelling is not always a weekend opportunity; it can be untimely causing you to make adjustments to your schedule. Most professionals work during the week so be expected to as well.

  • Will I get signed if I do the workshop?

No, the ModelMadeMe workshops are offered to the public for those inclined to learn. Should our booking department see a fit in you, we will notify you directly.
